FEW VALUABLE POINTS ON PRESS CONFERENCE

Press conference is conducted to communicate with different media . It should be organised for special occasions , extra -ordinary events,worthy news etc.


SOME POINTS TO BE KEPT IN MIND WHILE ORGANISING A PRESS CONFERENCE

- It must be held before a light day .
- Suitable time for organising a conference is either 12pm or 8pm.
- An invitation letter must be sent at least 15 days before and ,if possible, it must be followed by telephonic confirmation 2 to 3 days before.
- Schedule and venue to be mentioned coherently.
- Precise directions to the conference hall must be drawn on the invitation card,generally in the form of a map.
- Proper and adequate space must be given to the photographers,camera man,radio equipment so as to avoid any kind of confusion.
- Head table must be made available to the journalists.
- Media kit must be distributed which must include folders,text of prepared speech,highlights of the speech,biography data on person.

(THESE WERE THE FEW POINTS THAT MUST BE KEPT IN MIND WHILE ORGANISING A PRESS CONFERENCE.THERE ARE MANY MORE IMPORTANT POINTS BEYOND THESE THAT MUST BE TAKEN INTO NOTICE WHILE CONDUCTING A CONFERENCE.)
