CLASS REPORT- 12th DECEMBER 2012

Another interesting lecture on Legal Reporting was delivered by Mr Anoop Khajuria (Senior Producer at Doordarshan India) and also hosts a show NYAY MANCH on DD.
The lecture started with a basic understanding of print media and television.
Key points that should be taken care of before reporting in print media:
5Ws and 1H i.e. who? , what? , when? , where? , why?  and how ?
In film and television:
-5Cs of film and television
  1. Camera angles
  2. Composition
  3. Cut
  4. Continuity
  5. Close Up
Mise-en-scène
The arrangement of everything that appears in the framing like actors, lighting, decor, props, costume is called mise-en-scène, a french term that means placing on stage. The frame and camera work also constitute mise-en-scène.
Elements of Mise-en-scène:
  • Lighting- unarguably one of the film element that has the greatest power to evoke emotions

 Broadcast journalism: it is the field of news and journals which are broadcasted i.e. published by electrical devices instead of older methods such as printed newspapers. methods of broadcasting includes radio, television, Internet. such media can display pictures(static or moving).
he elucidated the hierarchy of courts in India and Jurisprudencia
Jurisprudencia: the study, knowledge or science of law.
At last he discussed some journalism ethics like avoiding plagiarism, defamation etc.
