“We Care” – devoted to Films on ‘Disability’ in the last week ofSeptember 2013 at our Dwarka Campus, New Delhi.

This festival has been receiving huge response from both Participants and the Press.

During the festival award winning films – both national andinternational – will be screened so as to create awareness and to sensitize public on issues concerning disabilities through the medium of films, as an advocacy tool to highlight attitudinal and behavioural changes. It is also designed to promote the inclusion of people with disabilities, and rid people of the various misconceptions, myths and prejudices surrounding disability issues.

We shall be pleased to have active participation of students and faculty from your institute/college on Thursday, September 26, 2013 (10:00 a.m. to 5:00 p.m). Also, there is a Photography Competition during the festival on the theme of ‘Disability Issues’. All students are invited to send their entries in the hard as well as soft copy for the same latest by 23.9.2013 to this institute.

As a good gesture, there is no participation fee for attending the festival. You are welcome to send 60 (approx.) students and faculty for this day long screenings. The students will also get to meet the films analysts and film-makers of some of these films.

This festival is being organised with the active support ofBrotherhood (pioneers in organizing film festival on disability issues in India) and with cooperation of UN Information Centre, UNESCO, Apeejay Institute of Mass Communication and many other bodies / institutes.

In the past the festivals was graced by Padma Bhushan Maj. H.P.S. Ahluwalia (founder Chairman of Indian Spinal Injury Society and Everest Hero), Maj. General S.K. RazdanKirti- Chakra AwardeeMs. Deepa Malik (Arjun Awardee) – first Woman to represent the India at International Sports Event in Disability CategoryMs. Abha KhaterpalPrincipal, Counselor and Founder of ‘Cross The Hurdles’ an online Organization, Ms. Kiran MehraDirector, United Nations Information Centre, New Delhi and many others.
