I am not just sure but dead sure that every class is equipped with an asset called the back benchers. I wonder if any one realizes the advantages of these assets, settled at the back of the class. Usually they are the eyesores of the teachers. Perhaps teachers do not realize that back benchers are the backbone of any class and are the only knowledgeable students in the class room. However, the truth is triumphant at the end. It is commonly observed that teachers always take pleasure in asking them questions of due importance.
But how do these back benchers feel? They usually get disturbed as they are lost in discussing problems of their institution, their country and the world. They are the group of scientists, artists, philosophers, musicians and above all day dreamers. They are the students who really care for their class.
Let me help you to analyze one of them:
A back bencher leader is always busy finding some way to solve the current problems of the country. Another back bencher, a budding Scientist, is discussing the working of a deadly weapon to beat American and Russian Scientists, or yet another way for students to complete their assignments. An Artist is sketching a cartoon of a girl just by imagination or moreover of the teacher/lecturer teaching in the class (like me).The musicians are busy talking about the latest release of Michael Jackson or Britney Spears.
There are many famous personalities who sat on the back seat of every class.
These back benchers are super-humans and their motives are never deciphered. In this respect they are precious gifts from god to the class (heehaw....). They are the backbone of the class and every class must be proud of them.
