Why is football coming under serious discussion? While ISL is getting nearer can it make change in Indian football? Federations , Sports channels, Marketing agencies and sports companies are finding ways to make money out of people who really don't have interest in Indian football. Their strategy is to bring new eyeballs through new leagues and international football tournaments. The federations will make money by selling the broadcasting rights to sports channel who then will sell viewers to sports companies  on advertisements and finally they will market their services and products to a huge crowd. Will this satisfy the crowd?
A hot discussion came up in Indian Football Forum. Kushal Das , the general secretary of AIFF focused on grass root development in footballs, bringing younger generation as young as six into football. With U-17 FIFA world cup, He believes Indian football will achieve a milestone. On other side IMG , Reliance and Star India presenting ISL. Alot of money from all investors is pouring in for a quick change and for quick money. Can this be a bubble demand? If we look carefully there is not enough grass root efforts. If those who want to make money, should think twice, is their effort and strategy sustainable for a long run? Vinit Karnik, national director of entertainment sports for groupM , showed concern for lack of fans through which marking can start. He explained there are almost no follower of Indian football. Over this the various directors and managers of different clubs reacted negatively and assumed that there is enough to make Indian football popular.
Time will tell who was correct, if International football is already popular in India, then why not Indian football? The answer is simple International teams play better, so they have better viewer's. If Indians can play as internnational level then we may change the story of our football.
