The final powerlifting match took place on 30th Dec' 2009. 29 students from various states participated this time which indicates growing interest in the sport. Powerlifting Federation of India provided it's support by providing equipments and officials to professionally conduct the championship.
The winners were as follows:
56 kg- Krishan Murari 210, Netraheen Vikas Sansthan Jodhpur.
60 kg- Rishikant Sharma 240, EOC, DU.
67.5 kg- Abhijeet Mondal 235, Vow, Kolkata.
75 kg- Krishanlal Gochar 315, NVS, Jodhpur.
82.5 kg- Kedar Patra 270, TTC BRA, Delhi.
90 kg- Ashish Dhayani 200, NIVH, Dehradun.
100 kg- Ravinder Singh Nagar 360.
All the participants were given certificates and the runner ups, Philips Walkmen.
There was a huge hand, of Sponsers, in making this event a mega hit. Sponsers were facilitated with Momentos.
