नहीं रहे ज्योति बसु

छह दशक तक राजनीति के परिदृश्य में बतौर कद्दावर शख्सियत बने रहे ज्योति बसु को रविवार को निधन हो गया। वह गत 17 दिनों से न्यूमोनिया से पीड़ित थे और उनके कई अंगों ने काम करना बंद कर दिया था। वह 95 वर्ष के थे।

वाम मोर्चे के अध्यक्ष विमान बोस पश्चिम बंगाल के मुख्यमंत्री बुद्धदेव भट्टाचार्य के साथ तुरंत अस्पताल पहुंचे। बेहद भावुक हुए बोस ने कहा, मेरे पास घोषणा करने के लिए एक बुरी खबर है। ज्योति बाबू अब हमारे बीच नहीं हैं।

भविष्य में ऊर्जा की आवश्यकता पर चर्चा

क्लिंटन फाउन्डेसन के प्रतिनिधी के तौर पर आये श्री अमित जैन ने कचरे से ऊर्जा के उत्पादन तथा उसके व्यावसायिक महत्व पर चर्चा करते हुए कहा कि हमने मुंबई,दिल्ली के साथ -२ गुजरात तथा राजस्थान में योजनायें शुरू की हैं। इसमें दिल्ली में जारी नरेला योजना के बारे में बताया कि भविष्य में यह योजना कितनी लाभकारी तथा पर्यावरण के अनुकूल साबित होगी। उन्होंने भारत में योजनाओं को शुरू करने में आने वाली मुश्किलों पर भी बताया कि यहाँ की टेंडर प्रणाली की कमियों पर प्रकाश डालते हुए अपने संस्थान द्वारा किये गए उपायों के बारे में बताया कि उन्होंने अपनी योजना में एक व्यक्ति को जिम्मेदार तथा जवावदेह तय किया है। इस योजना के वारे में विस्तार से चर्चा करते हुए बताया कि कैसे इस योजना में कचरे को परिस्कृत करके जो ऊर्जा उत्पादन होगा,वह ६.५ रु /यूनिट तैयार होगी।

अंत में कार्यक्रम की अध्यक्षता करते हुए श्री सुब्रमनियम द्वारा भारत में उपलब्ध जलीय ऊर्जा की संभावना के बारे में बताया कि बहुत कम लोग जानते हैं कि कर्नाटक में लघु जलीय परियोजनाओं के बहुत अवसर मौजूद हैं जबकि हिमाचल,उत्तराँचल तथा अरुणाचल में बड़ी परियोजनाओं के अवसर मौजूद हैं। उन्होंने जैविक ईंधन के द्वारा उत्पन्न ऊर्जा के बारे में भी चर्चा की, कि कैसे हम जैव तथा गोबर के द्वारा प्राप्त ईंधन से खाद का इस्तेमाल कृषि सम्बंधित कार्यों में कर सकते हैं। उन्होंने १५वी योजना के अंतर्गत २०३२ तक ऊर्जा की जरूरतों को पूरा करने के लिए आज से ही कदम उठाने पर बल दिया

विगत १४ जन.१० को ओबजर्वर रिसर्च फाउन्डेसन में आयोजित भविष्य में ऊर्जा की आवश्यकता पर चर्चा की गयी ,जिसमें देश-विदेश की कई बड़ी कंपनियों के अधिकारियों ने भाग लिया.चर्चा में पवन,सौर तथा जलीय ऊर्जा जैसे वैकल्पिक स्त्रोतों के उपयोग और उसके व्यावसायिक लाभ पर जोर दिया गया। बैठक में भाग लेते हुए सुजलान एनर्जी के श्री लवलीन सिंघल ने पवन ऊर्जा पर कहा कि भविष्य में ग्रीन हॉउस गैसों के उत्सर्जन को कम करने के लिए हमें इस तरह की वैकल्पिक के उत्पादन तथा उसके भण्डारण के बारे सोचना । क्यों कि मानसून के दौरान हम सौर ऊर्जा को पैदा नहीं कर सकते । अतः मानसून के दौरान दोनों तरह की ऊर्जा के भंडारण कि तकनीक विकसित करनी चाहिए। इस तरह की तकनीक इस समय केवल अमेरिका,जर्मनी तथा स्पेन के ही पास है। तो क्या हमें इस तरह की तकनीक के आने का इंतज़ार करना चाहिए या अपनाकर हमें उन्हें आकर्षित करना चाहिए।

It’s a celebration time for the NRI filmmakers as the first Pravasi Film Festival organised by the Pravasi Today Group in association with the Mauritius government gives the young, talented filmmakers a platform to showcase their films in the capital from 3rd – 6th January, 2010. Pravasi film festival is a new concept introduced by the Pravasi Today magazine group. The festival is going to take place at India habitat centre from 3rd - 6th January, 2010. The inaugural ceremony had a panel including distinguished guests from the film fraternity and politics such as His Excellency Sir Anerood Jugnauth, President of Mauritius accompanied by his wife Sarojini Jugnauth, Mr. Harish Rawat (Hon. Minister of State, Ministry of Labour and Employment), Milap Duggar, (Vice-Chancellor, IASE University), Shri Manoj Bajpai (Actor), Rajiv Shukla (Member of Parliament), Ms. Aruna Vasudev, Shri Shabir Ali (Member of Parliament), Shri Ashok Chakradhar (Poet), Mr. Sandeep Marwha. Mr. Milap Duggal the Vice Chancellor of Pravasi Film Festival, the chief host welcomed the guests and explained the motive of the festival which is an effort to bridge the gap between the NRIs and India. He also said it is a platform for the NRIs to introduce their problems, views etc. He thanked the support of Mauritian President calling it a Mini-India. Following him Pankaj Dubey the co-presenter briefed the highlights of the festival which will include the interactive sessions between NRI directors and the audience present at the festival in January. He also announced the awards, which would be the best feature film, best documentary, best short film, best Indian issue, best story, best identity issue and the best critic award to be given at the Pravasi Film Festival. There would be special sessions on Mauritius, discussions with Mira Nair, Deepa Mehta, Gurinder Chaddha, Saeed Jaffery, Poorva Bedi, Rahul Rawail and other guests present during the festival. The festival will also showcase Nasreen Munni Kabir’s analogy of documentaries. Also, there will be many short films and documentaries by various new directors. Special issue of Pravasi Today Magazine were distributed among all the guests. While discussing the PFF Mukeshwar Chunni, the High- Commissioner of Mauritius praised the media and said that no other medium communicates better. As per him “Visuals are the best way to reach the audience across the boundaries”. Through the PFF sharing of cultures, ideas etc will take place avoiding trivial issues and problems faced by people. He said that through this the promotion of films, art and culture, sports and women empowerment will take place. Ashok Chakradhar, a renowned poet very creatively defined the three colours in the PFF logo, saying that the red signifies love between India and Mauritius. According to him “Promotion of Hindi is best done by movies” and this festival is one step taken forward in this respect. Shabir Ali MP from Bihar appreciated the co-operation, relation and great heartedness of the NRIs towards India. Rajiv Shukla along with Aruna Vasudev released the montage of PFF. Rajiv Shukla also briefed the media saying that with this festival, the relationship with Mauritius has got a new start. He highlighted that not only in films but in other aspects also Mauritius should be explored. Aruna Vasudev, advisor to the PFF, threw light on the problem of identity crisis being faced by many NRIs. She further said that cinema is the best possible way to curb this and to project the lifestyle and reactions to various issues dealt by the NRIs. The unveiling of awards was followed by the views presented by Manoj Bajpai, “Aim big, think big, do big”. He said that this festival is a platform for the expression of views and interactions and discussions over the various issues. Harish Rawat, Hon. Minister of State, Ministry of Labour and Employment said that the language of heart has connected the two nations. According to him, the culture of Mauritius is a combination of many cultures and he emphasised that the films will reflect the cultures and traditions helping in the understanding of these across boundaries. The Mauritian President Aneerood Jugnauth said that the message conveyed through these films will reach various audiences. He called Mauritius an ideal destination for films saying that, “Cinema dominates the world of communications. He emphasised that the experiences of the different groups will be brought together with these films. As per him, “Pravasi Film Festival is a welcome effort to unite people across countries.” In a nutshell Anil Joshi the festival director called it a historical moment thanking everybody for recognising PFF. He quoted, “With this festival the Pravasi’s are being bonded with India.” He thanked the support of Mauritius. With this festival being a beginning a chain of events to give a platform for the NRIs to have a fresh bonding with their Indian counterparts.

5th & last day of 6th BRA-IBSA National football tournament for blinds




On 30th december 2009 was the last day of the football match. It was the final match between JPM Senior Secondry School ,delhi and Equal opportunities cell,delhi university.The other nine teams from (delhi,gujrat ,tamil nadu ,uttrakhand ,and west bengal) participated with great enthusiasm. students from various states participated this time which indicates growing interest in the sport. Powerlifting Federation of India provided it's support by providing equipments and officials to professionally conduct the championship.
Ankur was the hero of the team with three goals.many other players like prasenjit , subir, rana ,dhama, ishrafi and danna ram delivered very gud performances. its a very interesting match and at the end of the match Equal opportunities was declare as the winner .
After the match award giving ceremony had started.With the trophies and gifts all the guests appreciate all the players.All the fitness was taken by Dr.Chandan,director of sports medicine.
The event was very big many big celebrities were there like "Mr.javed habib and chairman of VLCC", so the full event covered by media and saw great mass gathering.

6th IBSA National football tournament for the blind relief association

Indian Blind Sports Association with the cooperation of the Blind Relief Association organised 6th IBSA National Football Tournament for the blind . Ten teams from Delhi, Gujarat, Rajasthan, Tamil Nadu, Uttarakhand and West Bengal will be participating in the Tournament.
Concurrently with the Football Tournament, a 5-day Athletics Coaching Camp and Seminar on Blind Sports (26 - 30 December), and the 2nd National Powerlifting Championships for the Blind will take place on 29 December 2009.
The game is played with specially fabricated footballs with jingles on a special football field with tactile linings and other distinct features.
Matches held played daily between 9:00 a.m. and 5:00 p.m. with the Final to be played at 5:00 p.m. on 30.

In the Athletics Coaching Camp besides practical coaching to be given by Mr. S. S. Rai a Veteran athletic coach and Dr. Satpal several other important aspects of sports will be covered.There was a session on Sports Medicine by Ms. Ritu V. Singh (Consultant -(therapist), a session on health, fitness, injuries in sports by Dr. P.S.M. Chandran (Director, Sports Medicine, SAI) and sessions on Yoga. kabbadi
