TURF 2013 , the 5th Global Sports Summit , India's Largest International Convention on Business of Sports held at and organised by FICCI on 23-24 October , 2013 in New Delhi , India was a grand affairs regarding India Sports covering various important issues in its own right.

The 4th session witness the most important issue arising at the national scene " Harnessing Women's Potential in Sports "



The key points covered was :

  •   Acknowledging omen's potential for elite pool.
  •    Encouraging and Empowering women to get more medals.
  •    Dealing with the challenges to women participation in sports.

With :Ms. Sunita Godara
The panelists consisted of :

1)  Ms. Penny Simonds , Vice president , Women's Hockey Federation Of New Zealand.
2)  Mr. Sujit Panigrahi , CEO, Fitness 365 and Former Additional Director General (Head - Technology)      ,CWG.
3)  Ms. Sunita Godara, National Convenor for Drug Abuse and Prevention , Clean Sports India and              Former Asian Marathon Champion.
4)  Ms. Indu Puri , Former Table Tennis Player.
5)  Mr. Franz Gastler, Coach , Yuwa India

Various important aspects of women's participation was discussed with apt examples and powerful notations  by all the panelists . Ms. Indu Puri , A former Table Tennis Player recounted her Form (Playing ) Days , her now working in a bank and after retirement sporting career in her own right . Ms. Sunita Godara , A living example of " if you determine something , you will achieve it for certain , putting all your sheer hardwork and skills". She discussed about various myths surfacing around us and aspects for a woman's participation citing her own experiences which was indeed compassionate , inspiring and positive , ofcourse.

The most surprising account from Mr. Franz Gastler left everybody present in awestruck .
Whatever we say about this wonderful achievement by him would be less but the below video would do justice to both his work and will sow in you  the seeds of innovation and giving your services to the needy people
