HAVE I MADE IT LARGE?

It was june 4, 1988 when a small, daaarrrk, n ugly(when i was born....lolz) boy came on dis palnet n was named mayank raghav....
At 2, i was brought up to Delhi from a very small n unknown village called Pipaira in U.P. which was my birth place. It was a week after my arrival that my dad asked me a question--"Monty beta, tujhe koi gift chahiye?" n from nowhere i said smthing which jst changed my life..... my reply to dat question was--"Haan papa, ek bat chahiye."
N it was from then dat the journey of my life started in actual means. I started playing cricket 4 my class team n became d captain of d team in a weeks time..... Time passed by n I grew as a player but i had to stop playing coz it was my 10th boards. My dad promised me dat if a get good marks then he wud allow me to play n also make me join a cricket academy...... I was really excited hearing dis n started working hard in studies, not to get good marks but to get admission in a cricket academy....:) n my hard work paid me off...... I got 80% marks. Everyone including me, was so happy coz of my result, but I was happy coz I was going to the enter the world of my passion, the world of my dreams--"CRICKET"

I joined a cricket academy n realized dat i had to really work hard to b one of thye better players coz there was a huge difference between thier standards n mine....... I was too far behind...... but i just knew one thing---"ITS EASIER TO BE COMMITTED, WHEN YOU ARE PASSIONATE"

I worked harder n harder towards my game but could not perform upto dat mark...... n then came d moment dat changed everything...... My club team was playing in one of the biggest tournaments played in U.P. It was our 1st match n v were 60 for 7. I was at d non strikers end seeing my teammates getting out..... I scored an unbeaten 40 odd runs n helped my team to reach a respectable total...... It was then our turn to bowl n n our main stike bowlers were smashed all over d park n our captaion was clueless....... n then d happened d unexpected..... our captain threwd bowl to me n said "CHAL MAYANK, BALL DAAL" I was a bit nervous but I started well with my 1st over n then it was me n me all over...... I took 5 wkts n won d game for our team n was awarded d man of d match award...... V reached d finals but unfortunately lost it....But to everyones surprize, I was awarded d man of d series awarded.......The best part was dat i was jst 16 at dat time n was d youngest player to play in dat tournament . That was the moment when i realized dat I too belong to the BIG LEAGUE..... but a lot of hard work n determination was needed n I was ready for it....

The journey continued n I kept on performing really well....... Different players n officials started recogonizing me...... From a player i was getting changed into a performer.....I was selected 4 d delhi under 17 cricket team trails....... i was really really happy but my happiness did not last very long as my name was not even short listed for d next round......

Then for d next 2 yrs I was among d highest wicket takers in ddca league matches n both d times was called 4 d trails for d under 19 group but both d times was not selected in the team though dis time I was a part of d top 30 but could not make it in d team.......
That was d time when i made my mind to QUIT d game but a voice from deep inside asked me a question....."BAS ITNA HI KHELNA THA? MAAN LI HAAR?" I broke into tears.......
It was a new day and a new beginning......again i went 4 my practice, had a word bout d trails to my coach n things after some time were normal again....... During dat period I realized the importance of my seniours n my coach who supported me a lot n again motivated me.......

My dream came true the next yr as i got selected in d under 22 delhi cricket team...... I was all over d moon coz it was d best thing ever happened to me untill then..... My family was sooooo happy dat i could see tears of happiness in my dad's eyes....... but unfortunately didnt get a chance to play a match coz my competitor was no one else but politics n i could not beat it.......

I again got selected in d u-22 team, next yr and again same my competitor(politics) came in my way......but luckily i got to play d last match against haryana in which i took 4 wkts which was like a dream spell 4 me but a questionh aroze in my mind....."HAVE I MADE IT LARGE?"
After my good performance in d debut match I was called 4 d Ranji trophy trails 4 d 1st time but inspite of performing well, was not selected in d team.....
For the 3rd time got selected in d u-22 team d next yr n dis time time also g
ot a chance to play only in a single match in which i scored a half century but then was not considered for d rest of the matches.........
So there have been many ups n downs (more of downs) in my life untill now but m still working hard to get there n I m damn sure that one day or the other I would definitely get it b'coz whenever i think dats enough 4 me, the name a fame i have got, the same question comes in between which again pushes me to work harder n harder n harder......"HAVE I MADE IT LARGE?"

I M REALLY SORRY IF U GUYS FIND THIS POST QUITE BIG BUT I COULD NOT STOP MYSELF COZ ITS NOT A STORY OR JUST A POST, ITS THE JOURNEY OF MY PASSION, MY DREAMS AND MY COMMITTMENTS........
