Radio Broadcasting

On the 16th of December we had Mrs. Mala Taterway, program executive of All India Radio who spoke to us on the Radio.

Radio reaches to all parts of the country. The first program on AIR is for the farmers which is for about 3 to 5 minutes.

The language used for broadcasting is very simple as it is easy to remember.

Radio is one of the means to promote any sport. When we listen about any sport on the radio we get to know about that particular sport.

There are different programs held at different time of the day and this is distinguished by a signature tune. The signature tune helps in identifying a program and differentiates it from the other.

Nowadays the main focus of broadcasting is infotainment. Infotainment is information plus knowledge.

Radio helps people to get infotainment at any place and at any time of the day. The AIR is headquartered in New Delhi.
