 Adventure Tourism In India

The tourism industry of India is economically important and grows rapidly. The World Travel & Tourism Council calculated that tourism generated INR6.4 trillion or 6.6% of the nation's GDP in 2012. It supported 39.5 million jobs, 7.7% of its total employment. The sector is predicted to grow at an average annual rate of 7.9% from 2013 to 2023India has a large medical tourism sector which is expected to grow at an estimated rate of 30% annually to reach about ₹ 95 billion by 2015. According to provisional statistics 6.29 million foreign tourists arrived in India in 2011, an increase of 8.9% from 5.78 million in 2010. This ranks India as the 38th country in the world in terms of foreign tourist arrivals. Domestic tourist visits to all states and Union Territories numbered 1,036.35 million in 2012, an increase of 16.5% from 2011.In 2011 Maharashtra, Tamil Nadu and Delhi were the most popular states for foreign tourists. Domestic tourists visited the states Uttar Pradesh, Andhra Pradesh and Tamil Nadu most frequently. Chennai, Delhi, Mumbai and Agra have been the four most visited cities of India by foreign tourists during the year 2011. Worldwide, Chennai is ranked 41 by the number of foreign tourists, while Delhi is ranked at 50, Mumbai at 57 and Agra at 65 and Kolkata at 99.  The Travel & Tourism Competitiveness Report 2013 ranks India 65th out of 144 countries overall. The report ranks the price competitiveness of India's tourism sector 20th out of 144 countries. It mentions that India has quite good air transport (ranked 39th), particularly given the country’s stage of development, and reasonable ground transport infrastructure (ranked 42nd).The World Tourism Organization reported that India's receipts from tourism during 2012 ranked 16th in the world, and 7th among Asian and Pacific countries. India's rich history and its cultural and geographical diversity make its international tourism appeal large and diverse. It presents heritage and cultural tourism along with medical, business, educational and sports tourism.

Class activity

 The last class we had gone through a phenomenal interview session activity with Smita mam. That was an amazing experience. We are 10 students and divided into 5 groups. Mam gave us some topics and we had performed on it. These topics are:- crime reporting, celebrity interview, IT technologies, politics and football reporting. crime news was performed by Nidhi and Momin, celebrity interview was performed by Nancy and Ishant, IT technologies interview was performed by alok and shubham, politics performed by hem naryan and gajendr, football interview was performed by vinayak and gurpratap. Each of the participants gone through their topics and came up with conclusion into their respective field. They also came across some of the pit falls of the system and they also emphasis the appropriate way to overcome it. I would like to thank for this spectacular opportunity given by smita mam.

हिन्दू पंचांग के आश्विन माह की नवरात्रि शारदीय नवरात्रि कहलाती है। विज्ञान की दृष्टि से शारदीय नवरात्र में शरद ऋतु में दिन छोटे होने लगते हैं और रात्रि बड़ी। वहीं चैत्र नवरात्र में दिन बड़े होने लगते हैं और रात्रि घटती है, ऋतुओं के परिवर्तन काल का असर मानव जीवन पर न पड़े, इसीलिए साधना के बहाने हमारे ऋषि-मुनियों ने इन नौ दिनों में उपवास का विधान किया।
संभवत: इसीलिए कि ऋतु के बदलाव के इस काल में मनुष्य खान-पान के संयम और श्रेष्ठ आध्यात्मिक चिंतन कर स्वयं को भीतर से सबल बना सके, ताकि मौसम के बदलाव का असर हम पर न पड़े। इसीलिए इसे शक्ति की आराधना का पर्व भी कहा गया। यही कारण है कि भिन्न स्वरूपों में इसी अवधि में जगत जननी की आराधना-उपासना की जाती है।
नवरात्रि पर्व के समय प्राकृतिक सौंदर्य भी बढ़ जाता है। ऐसा लगता है जैसे ईश्वर का साक्षात् रूप यही है। प्राकृतिक सुंदरता के साथ-साथ वातावरण सुखद होता है। आश्विन मास में मौसम में न अधिक ठंड रहती है न अधिक गर्मी। प्रकृति का यह रूप सभी के मन को उत्साहित कर देता है। जिससे नवरात्रि का समय शक्ति साधकों के लिए अनुकूल हो जाता है। तब नियमपूर्वक साधना व अनुष्ठान करते हैं, व्रत-उपवास, हवन और नियम-संयम से उनकी शारीरिक, मानसिक एवं आत्मिक शक्ति जागती है, जो उनको ऊर्जावान बनाती है।
इस काल में लौकिक उत्सव के साथ ही प्राकृतिक रूप से ऋतु परिवर्तन होता है। शरद ऋतु की शुरुआत होती है, बारिश का मौसम बिदा होने लगता है। इस कारण बना सुखद वातावरण यह संदेश देता है कि जीवन के संघर्ष और बीते समय की असफलताओं को पीछें छोड़ मानसिक रूप से सशक्त एवं ऊर्जावान बनकर नई आशा और उम्मीदों के साथ आगे बढ़े।
